WHAT WE DO

The task force continually works on strategies and activities to make Broward into a healthier place to live, work and play. These include:

  • Promote regular physical activity and good nutrition among children, adults and older adults. That includes media and social marketing campaigns.
  • Increase access to healthy foods by promoting farm-fresh local foods and community gardens.
  • Promote the adoption of worksite wellness programs and policies that support and allow healthy lifestyle behaviors.
  • Raise awareness of the importance of environmental and policy changes that support regular physical activity and good nutrition.

JOIN OUR TEAM

The group meets monthly at 9 a.m. on the third Wednesday of the month at DOH Fort Lauderdale Health Center, 2421 SW 6 Ave., Fort Lauderdale FL 33315, second floor conference room. All are welcome.
